Hi there! I'm Seng Nickerson.
I am a mom of four, loving wife, and a success driven corporate working parent that also somehow balances a side hustle.
As someone who loves both my career as well as my family, I was doing all the things to keep the wheels turning.
In the midst of all that, felt like I lost myself along the way. I kept taking things on in my career. My list of responsibilities at home kept growing and increasing.
I didn't have the flexibility of being able to just getaway because the family needed me physically there. There didn't seem like there was any time to pursue my own dreams that sat on the backburner.
I didn't want to quit anything, I just need more time to pursue this idea I had. I found other parents (especially moms) that were in the same head pace.

I went from feeling stagnant in the monotony of my day to day to finding not only a creative outlet, but a profitable hobby.
In a span of six short years, my husband and I got married and had four beautiful kids.
At some point during that time, we lost $40,000 on a "shop" that we had been living in (it had living quarters, but was a Morton building that the husband thought would be a good idea at the time). That loss ended up being a blessing in disguise because we were soon able to purchase a home in an amazing neighborhood that was a short sale.
The "new to us" average suburbia house was not in great shape, so I started chronicling our journey to renovating our home. Soon after, my photography clients were asking about our journey through what I was posting on the blog as well as question on managing a large family as a working mom!
My home renovation blog turned into a way to journal my life as a wife and a mother, where I shared tips on organization, prioritization and the challenges and beauty behind the craziness of motherhood.
A few years later, I was able to learn about ways to monetize my blog and that opened my eyes to the potential of this hobby blog I had. Since then, I have been able to furnish my home with the income I made from my blog.
A profitable creative outlet that doesn't trade time for money.
In 2009 for Christmas, my husband gave me a camera that was meant to be a way to capture family photos.
At the time, I didn't understand how a clunky, overpriced camera would help me realize my potential. I didn't have any hobbies, or at least I didn't think I did.
With this camera, what he didn't realize was that he opened my eyes to the potential of what the creative process of taking photos would do for my soul.
This one little camera would open up a whole new world for me.
I got my first gig as a wedding photographer for $400. It felt incredible. To own my own business, run with my own clients, and manage a mini-business as a side hustle. I kept getting clients after clients for photography.
What I would soon realize was that I didn't want to spend my free time trading time for money.
The beauty of being a Jill of all trades is experience.
In my corporate career in the healthcare information technology field, I was skilled with the ability to teach physicians and pharmacists how to design, implement, and teach their peers on new systems we were converting for them. And this was all WITHOUT having a medical or a computer science degree.
Inside this Fortune 600 company, I was able to transition into multiple roles and be able to discover efficiencies and understand the business strategies of each specific organization.
While those that are looking from the outside in made it look like I was job hopping, I almost felt like that too. I honestly felt like a Jill-of-All-Trades.
As a Jill-of-All-Trades, I used to be scared to share that nickname because of the "master of none" that went along with that nickname.
As an avid learner and a person that loves self improvement, I found that I was never content of being stagnant. I learned how to position myself to new opportunities that allow me to expand my skill sets.
That was my light bulb moment.
I discovered it is possible to have manage a career, pursue a profitable side hustle, and raise a beautiful family without sacrificing it all.
At some point in the latter half of the last decade, I was trying to figure out what this universe was telling me to do. I had this inner passion for having a side hustle entrepreneur, but I also loved the thrill of my career and being able to use my skills in big business. I also wanted to be able to spend time with my husband and my kids. I was totally at odds of what the bigger picture was.
As my world of my career, side hustle, and busy, beautiful family swirled around me, and others started talking to me on how to help them achieve their own dreams, it completely hit me like a ton of bricks.
My "mommy blog" created $100,000 in additional income over a decade, all PART-TIME!
In 2009, I started my blog over at sengerson.com.
I have been able to work with large brands as an influencer for large brands like Pottery Barn, Abercrombie & Fitch, Blinds.com, Walmart, Target, Ace Hardware, and Home Depot to name a few. I've also been featured on the Huffington Post, Better Homes and Gardens, and Buzzfeed.
With a career and a family of six, I was still able to manage the blog due to the flexibility that came along with it.
While managing my side hustle as a blogger, my career in healthcare information technology provided me a skillset of managing new technologies, scaling project implementations, and refining software development processes and frameworks for big business. I've worked in Fortune 600 companies doing sales, implementation, software development, project management, product ownership and strategy in various roles. I've learned the importance of prioritizing not only big business, but also small business.
With my experience in managing strategies for large businesses, I'm able to help and advocate for small businesses trying to use similar techniques, but also be able to show them WHERE they can take shortcuts to decrease overhead and time.
I've taken what I've learned about data in my corporate career and have been able to use it as an online marketer and online creator to help other entrepreneurs grow and feel confident about starting their journey.
I love the mantra: Fail fast, iterate faster.
Embedded in that quote is having the confidence, and most importantly, the courage to just START. Just know that failures get you closer to success.
I learned how to prioritize and manage my time so that I had TIME to go to be with my kids on their field trips and their school holiday parties.
And the BEST part about all of this?
I was able to make one of my passion projects into a stable income that I could count on for my family AND teach other creators like you to do the same. All without quitting anything.

My dream was to HELP and INSPIRE others on OVERCOMING the learning curve so they can pursue their creative passions without needing to sacrifice everything.
After talking to a few working moms, I was finding that they were yearning for a creative outlet. Whether it was something to tinker with OR being able to scale big, all of these creators had a dream.
They were just scared to start or didn't have the courage to start. They were finding every reason under the sun on why it was a bad idea to not start.
Courage allows the successful woman to fail, and to learn powerful lessons from the failure. So that in the end, she didn't fail at all.
Over the last decade, I've developed a reputation of having the courage to start something new and enabling others how to do the same.
I can teach you HOW to overcome the learning curve you THINK YOU have and will teach you the confidence to go try.
I have the experience and the passion to help you learn what you need to do in order to get started and elevate your business.
My goal is to help you get informed about your options for ways you can use online marketing strategies to develop your platform.
I've done almost every hustle, so I know how to show you the multitude of ways you can create revenue online. With my experience as an online marketer as well as a big business strategist, I've gained valuable knowledge and insight to help you understand your internet marketing options so you can choose the path you want.
Are you ready to start your journey and FINALLY get your dreams started?
There will never be a perfect time, just start where you are. BIG things often have little beginnings.
